Richard Deitsch joins as co-host in the second hour and he and Bob are joined by Brian Burke in-studio who shared stories about when he was a GM, and what he encountered a few days out from the NHL trade deadline (45:15). Following Burkie, Robert Raiola hops on with Bob and Richard to discuss the tax implications for Manny Machado’s $300M deal (1:18:11). In the final hour, the baseball talk continues with Sportsnet’s Shi Davidi as he checks-in with the latest on the Blue Jays from Spring Training (1:44:52); and ESPN College Basketball analyst Fran Fraschilla spoke to Bob and Richard about Zion Williamson’s knee sprain (and his exploding shoe) and the NBA reportedly proposing to lower the draft age from 19 to 18 (2:11:08)

In the second hour, Bob and Richard Deitsch place a call to Ben Higgins of The Mighty 1090 in San Diego to gauge the city’s reaction to Manny Machado signing with the Padres. Following Higgins, Bob and Richard speak to Scott Eden of ESPN the Magazine who wrote a detailed piece on disgraced NBA referee Tim Donaghy and his past exploits. With the trade deadline approaching, Jim Hughson of the NHL on Sportsnet chats with Bob and Richard just as the Wild dealt winger Charlie Coyle to the Boston Bruins; and to end off the show, national baseball writer Tim Kurkjian speaks with Bob and Richard from Clearwater, Florida as he makes his way around the different the MLB complexes during Spring Training.
