June 14: Raptors Championship Edition Roundtable
June 14 2019
The Toronto Raptors are the 2019 NBA Champions! Bob McCown, Carly Agro, Richard Deitsch, and John Shannon assemble for the Friday roundtable to discuss the Raptors’ historic first title. They are joined by Raptors’ radio voice Eric Smith (11:50) to recap game 6 and the aftermath that ensued during celebrations. Following Eric, the roundtable discusses Kawhi Leonard’s MVP performance, if this championship win will push him to re-sign in Toronto, and addresses the rumours that the Washington Wizards may pursue Masai Ujiri to run their basketball operations department. Raptors television play by play voice Matt Devlin joins the show to discuss the win and its importance across Canada (58:48), and the roundtable looks ahead to the NBA next season: could the Raptors be in the mix once again for the title?
