June 24: Takeaways From The 2019 NHL Draft
June 24 2019

On this episode of Tape to Tape, the boys go deep on everything that occurred from a busy draft floor in Vancouver. Ryan and Rory kick things off by discussing the P.K. Subban trade that clears some desperately needed salary cap space for the Nashville Predators, and also give their take on what's next for the Toronto Maple Leafs after moving Patrick Marleau (and his $6.25-million salary).

As for the draft itself, the first-round pick of every Canadian team is examined. Vancouver's history with Russian draft picks might be worse than any club in the league, but can Vasili Podkolzin change all that? Montreal may have found a real gem in Cole Caufield, while Edmonton, Ottawa and Winnipeg all went with defencemen in Round 1.

Finally, the boys put a bow on the entire event, highlighting some teams they felt left the Draft with a trove of exciting young players.

June 19: Defencemen, Drafting, and The Goal That Wasn't
June 19 2019

The off-season has just arrived and the trades are already going down. Ryan and Rory break down the big move that sent Jacob Trouba to the New York Rangers and explain why they’re surprised that Erik Karlsson got maximum term and big dollars to stay in San Jose.

The conversation then switches from deals to prospects, as Sportsnet’s Sam Cosentino stops by to break down the 2019 NHL Draft, which kicks off Friday night in Vancouver.

In the last block, we get to hear from Patrik Stefan, who spoke with Ryan and offered some honest thoughts on the play that came to define his career, the infamous missed empty net in Edmonton.

June 13: A Cup 52 Years In The Making
June 13 2019

Pop the corks, St. Louis has won the Cup! Ryan and Rory dissect the first Stanley Cup Final Game 7 in nearly a decade and cover all aspects of the Blues' amazing run to the first championship in team history.

The boys also discuss what the future looks like for both Boston and St. Louis, and hammer home the idea that - when you get this close to the Cup - you better win it, because it's getting harder and harder to win four rounds each year.

After the break, Hall of Famer Eric Lindros stops by to discuss Ontario's new concussion awareness campaign (www.ontario.ca/concussions) and dishes on his former career, before Ryan and Rory wrap things up with a lookahead to the offseason.

This episode is produced and sound engineered by Shoaib Alli, and hosted by Ryan Dixon and Rory Boylen.
