Make a difference for Special Olympics BC

This year, the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics BC will play a vital part in helping athletes get back to the sports and the SOBC family that matter to them.

Special Olympics BC volunteers, athletes, and supporters around the province are currently working hard to reopen their in-person programs, with strong SOBC safety protocols in place. But we’re only a quarter of the way back to our usual capacity to change lives.

The pandemic has had a long-lasting, far-reaching impact on athletes with intellectual disabilities, who were already far too familiar with the pain of isolation, and on Special Olympics BC. More than ever, we need your support to rebuild all of our year-round, in-person sport programs that create empowering connections, open hearts and minds to inclusion, and break down barriers.

Your Plunge will help reunite friends on the playing fields in Special Olympics BC’s safe and inclusive programs.
