The Vancouver Canadians could hoist the Bob Freitas Trophy tonight in front of a hometown crowd if they can dispatch the Eugene Emeralds after going ahead 2-1 in the best-of-five championship series.
Designated hitter Brock Lundquist cracked the game-winning homer in the fourth to give the C’s a 2-1 win Monday night at Nat Bailey Stadium.

The Canadians conceded one run in the first inning as Eugene’s Zach Davis stole second, then third, and finally scored on a wild pitch after initially hitting a single off Canadians starter Nate Pearson.
Curiously, Vancouver has won all three of its post-season home games by a score of 2-1.

First pitch for Game 4 is 7:05 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12 at Nat Bailey Stadium.
