Nothing a GM says right now should be taken literally... because strategy
June 20 2018
Rick Knickle joins James, Perry and Rick in studio to talk all things NHL Draft and how the chips fall after the third pick. Since Montreal doesn't have a centreman, they can opt for Jesperi Kotkaniemi if they decide he's the best player available in a balance of skill and position. General Managers aren't actually truthful in their hints because they're trying t play a more strategic game. "The games that are played at the draft are amazing."

Reid Boucher ambitious to 'turn heads' at Canucks camp
June 20 2018
The newly signed Canucks forward calls in from Michigan to talks with James, Perry and Rick about his contract. "It's a good opportunity to prove myself in the league," he says. He's motivated to earn his way on the team and prove his chops at training camp. Playing big offensive minutes in Utica feels great and it's a wonderful rink, but he wants to be an NHLer. Scoring at the next level is tougher because, simply put, the game is elite and so are the players.

Todd Bertuzzi on challenge of Shinnecock and value of NHL coaches
June 19 2018
The former West Coast Express-er is one of those guys who could take his shirt off and no one would complain. The stats back this up, he says. "Six-three, 240, tall, dark. Might work." James and Perry don't waste a minute ripping into him for that hubris, not that his opinion is wrong. He talks Phil Mickelson's rolling putt and why it was satisfying to watch pros grind through an immensely challenging Shinnecock Hills. When it comes to disrupting a locker room, "cyber-bullying trolls" can wreak havoc.
