Canucks' DiPietro on adversity, resilience and playing for Canada as 'run and gun' goalie
April 24 2018
Fresh off the announcement he's made the Canada's roster for the World Hockey Championship, Canucks prospect Michael DiPietro joins Sat and Jawn to say, "This is definitely a surprise for me." He's eager to embrace the opportunity but It took his Windsor Spitfires GM to repeat the news three times before the information sunk in. He was not on the nation's World Junior squad and says that was a "tough pill to swallow" but he's now elated to represent Canada. In the NHL, Vancouver is a good fit for him as an athletic "run and gun goaltender" where he can work with Dan Cloutier. Plus, he's part of the Canucks' youth movement.
