Young players driving Canucks' strong recent play
December 14 2018
The Athletic's Israel Fehr joins Sat and Jawn to talk all things Canucks. He says the Canucks are regaining their form from the beginning of the season. Even when the team gets outplayed, they're finding a way to get points. It's been the young players driving results, and that's huge for the franchise. Bo Horvat has also solidified his role as a leader on the team. Fehr also talks about how the team can get more from their defence.
Russell Wilson is proving he's a franchise QB
December 14 2018
Mike Dugar of The Athletic joins Sat and Jawn to talk about the Seahawks' winning streak and their game against San Francisco. Russell Wilson is having a great season and showing that he deserves a big contract extension. The Seahawks' defence has really improved recently, too, but Wilson is the biggest reason why the team has exceeded expectations. Plus, Dugar talks about the Chargers' comeback win against the Chiefs.
Stamkos fighting through injuries to stay productive
December 13 2018
Brian Lawton of the NHL Network joins Sat and Jawn to talk about the biggest news around the NHL. Lawton was with the Lightning when they drafted Steven Stamkos, and he says that Stamkos has had some bad luck with injuries that have slowed him down, but he's playing well right now. He also talks about the rest of Tampa's excellent roster ahead of the team's clash with the Maple Leafs. Plus, Lawton gives his take on the progress of the Canucks' rebuild.
