June 19: A lot 'bubbling' before NHL draft
June 19 2018
- Elliotte Friedman HNIC - 10:00:00 - I still think the Canucks 7th pick is in play, but I don't get the sense that anything is imminent, but I do think there are a number of things bubbling that will make this week kind of crazy Jay Triano HC Basketball

Ross Atkins on a baseball exec's imperative to learn new things
June 19 2018
As his club goes for eight straight wins tonight, the Blue Jays GM joins Andrew Walker and Scott Rintoul to talk all things baseball, including the reality of the small world that is the league and how executives, like players, can continue to develop through their career. "If you stop learning, you should probably get out of the business." There is a constant stream of new information and new ways to understand, gather and interpret that information. It's also very competitive. He talks about the challenges of this Jays' season.

Canucks' Boeser on season-ending injury: 'It was scary... I didn't know what was wrong'
June 19 2018
The Canucks rookie and Calder Trophy finalist joins The Program from Las Vegas to talk summer, rehab and what could have been with the previous season, which didn't end how he (or anyone) hoped. However, his back injury could have been much worse. "I couldn't move my left leg. It was scary at first. I didn't know what was wrong." He is skating but not yet shooting the puck. Next season, prospects pushing for roster spots will lift the energy of the team. He began to realize he was a legitimate threat against all opponents. He doesn't follow the points race but does pay some attention to contract talks around the league, like with John Tavares, and did tune in to playoff hockey. "I really exited to be in that situation." Us too.

Friedman expects trade action as potential 'bubbles' ahead of NHL Draft
June 19 2018
Sportsnet hockey analyst Elliotte Friedman joins Andrew Walker and Scot Rintoul for a far-reaching conversation on the possible action and transactions leading up to this NHL Draft. "I do think there is a lot going on out there," he says. "Last year's Friday on day one was crazy. This one has the potential for a couple of big names to drop." He talks about the options open to the Senators and touches on other internal club situations affected by the inter-personal relationships. "They may not get out because people respect the privacy of the people involved." Good days and bad days will be played out in the public eye.
