Canucks' Boeser on season-ending injury: 'It was scary... I didn't know what was wrong'
June 19 2018
The Canucks rookie and Calder Trophy finalist joins The Program from Las Vegas to talk summer, rehab and what could have been with the previous season, which didn't end how he (or anyone) hoped. However, his back injury could have been much worse. "I couldn't move my left leg. It was scary at first. I didn't know what was wrong." He is skating but not yet shooting the puck. Next season, prospects pushing for roster spots will lift the energy of the team. He began to realize he was a legitimate threat against all opponents. He doesn't follow the points race but does pay some attention to contract talks around the league, like with John Tavares, and did tune in to playoff hockey. "I really exited to be in that situation." Us too.
