Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Brandon Belt won’t play Saturday’s Grapefruit League game against the Detroit Tigers because of a non-COVID illness.

With Belt’s absence, Cavan Biggio slides over to cover first base and Santiago Espinal slots into second base.

Daulton Varsho moves into the clean-up spot in Belt’s place.

The Blue Jays open their season on Thursday in St. Louis against the Cardinals.
