Bruins sign defenceman Derek Forbort to three-year contract

The Boston Bruins signed defenceman Derek Forbort to a three-year contract with an average annual value of $3 million, the team announced Wednesday.

Forbort played 56 games with the Winnipeg Jets during the 2020-21 regular season scoring two goals and 10 assists for 12 points. The 29-year-old from Duluth, Minn., added one goal in eight playoff games.
