The Boston Bruins are keeping goaltender Michael DiPietro in the system.
The Bruins have signed DiPietro to a two-year, $1.625 million contract, the team announced Monday.
DiPietro has spent the past three seasons with the AHL’s Providence Bruins.
He posted a 26-8-5 record, 2.05 goals-against average and .927 save percentage with four shutouts in 40 games last season.
He also registered a 3-3-0 record, 1.85 GAA and .928 save percentage with one shutout in seven playoff games.

DiPietro was drafted in the third round, 64th overall, by the Vancouver Canucks in 2017.
The 26-year-old from Windsor, Ont., holds a 0-2-0 record, 5.28 GAA and .771 save percentage in three NHL games, all with the Canucks.
He was traded to the Bruins in October 2022.
