Buffalo Sabres sign F Justin Danforth to two-year, $3.6M deal

The Buffalo Sabres are adding some Canadian grit to their lineup of forwards.

Justin Danforth is joining the Sabres after signing a two-year, $3.6-million deal, the team announced Wednesday.

The Oshawa, Ont. native was with the Columbus Blue Jackets from 2021-2025, appearing in the first 183 games of his NHL career following three years playing overseas.

The five-foot-eight forward, 32, registered 21 points in the 2024-25 season with nine goals and 12 assists.
