Marie-Phillipe Poulin and Renata Fast are among the headliners named to Canada’s national women’s team’s roster for the final two games of the Rivalry Series against Team USA.

Hockey Canada announced the entire 24-player roster for the event Thursday afternoon, with the final two games set to take place in Quebec later this month.

Canada currently trails 3-2 in the series, losing the first three games in November before snatching Games 4 and 5 in December to set up a down-to-the-wire finish.

“Throughout the series, we have been able to look at the depth of our program with different players and line combinations,” Director of hockey operations Gina Kingsbury said in a statement. “We are excited for two more competitive games against the Americans.”

The event, in part, serves as a potential measuring stick for each country and their rosters, allowing management to make assessments ahead of the Women’s World Championships in Brampton, Ont. this coming spring.

“These final two games against the U.S. will be crucial in our evaluation and preparations for April,” Kingsbury added.

Game 6 of the Rivalry Series goes on Feb. 20 in front of a sold-out crowd in Trois-Rivières, while a potentially series-clinching game seven takes place in Laval on Feb. 22.
