Calen Addison has found a new home.

The New Jersey Devils announced they signed the 25-year-old defenceman to a one-year, two-way contract on Tuesday.

The deal is worth $775,000 at the NHL level and $325,000 at the AHL level.

Addison was selected 53rd overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2018 NHL Draft and was sent to the Minnesota Wild in February of 2020 in a deal for Justin Zucker.

The blueliner put up 38 points (5 goals, 33 assists) in 92 games with the Wild before he was sent to the San Jose Sharks in November of 2023, where he played a career high 60 games in 2023-24, putting up 12 points.

The Brandon, Man., native was named to the 2020-21 AHL All-Rookie Team and won a gold medal with Canada at the 2020 World Junior Championships.
