The Anaheim Ducks have signed centre Lucas Pettersson to a three-year, entry-level contract, the team announced Friday.

Pettersson is expected to play with Brynas of the Swedish Hockey League next season.

The 19-year-old from Ornskoldsvik, Sweden, was drafted in the second round, 35th overall, by the Ducks in 2024.

He recorded one assist in 29 SHL games with MoDo and 19 points (nine goals, 10 assists) in 26 HockeyAllsvenskan games on loan with Ostersunds.

Pettersson also had eight points (four goals, four assists) in eight games with MoDo Jr.

He helped Sweden earn a medal at the 2024 U-18 World Championship, scoring the game-winning goal in the bronze-medal match against Slovakia.
