Edmonton Oilers forward Derek Ryan clears waivers

Derek Ryan will remain in the Edmonton Oilers organization.

The veteran centre cleared waivers on Monday according to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.

The Oilers placed Ryan on waivers Sunday, he will now be eligible to be loaned to AHL Bakersfield.

The 38-year-old had been a healthy scratch in 11 of the past 15 games. In 33 games this season he has one goal and five assists.
