Edmonton Oilers sign forward Adam Erne to one-year, two-way contract

The Edmonton Oilers signed forward Adam Erne to a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 at the NHL level, the team announced on Friday.

Erne was with the Oilers throughout training camp on a professional tryout and registered a goal during the pre-season.

Before joining Edmonton, the 28-year-old spent four seasons with the Detroit Red Wings, where he had 27 goals and 62 points. He also spent three seasons with the Tampa Bay Lightning, who selected him in the second round of the 2013 NHL Draft.
