Emil Heineman signs two-year contract with Islanders

Emil Heineman has finalized a contract with the New York Islanders after he was traded by the Montreal Canadiens last week.

The forward, 23, has signed a two-year deal with the Islanders, the club announced Wednesday.

Heineman was sent to New York in the Noah Dobson sign-and-trade last week.

The Swedish forward had 10 goals and eight assists in 62 games with the Canadiens last season.
