The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed left-winger Boris Katchouk to a one-year, two-way contract today, the team announced Tuesday.

It’ll be his second stint with the club that took him in the second round (44th overall) of the 2016 draft.

Katchouk, 27, made his NHL debut with Tampa Bay in the 2021-22 season but was dealt to the Chicago Blackhawks after 38 games. He ended up spending three years with Chicago before joining the Ottawa Senators in 2023-24, the last time he played in the NHL.

The six-foot-two, 206-pound forward spent the 2024-25 season with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Katchouk logged 49 points and 21 goals in that span, ranking second on the team for points while leading in games played (67).

The Vancouver native has totalled 176 career NHL games with the Lightning, Blackhawks and Senators. He’s posted 15 goals and 36 points in that span.
