Maple Leafs bring back forward Travis Boyd on one-year contract

Travis Boyd is ready for Take 2 in Toronto.

The forward signed a one-year, $775,000 contract to return to the Maple Leafs, the team said on Tuesday.

Boyd, 31, spent last season with the Minnesota Wild, getting into three NHL games while spending the majority of the campaign in the AHL.

The Hopkins, Minn., native skated in 20 games with the Maple Leafs during the 2020-21 season, recording three goals and five assists.

He has also appeared with the Washington Capitals, Arizona Coyotes and Vancouver Canucks in his 299-game NHL career.
