The Florida Panthers have signed forward Jonah Gadjovich to a two-year contract extension, the team announced Thursday.

Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reports that the extension is worth $775,000 per season.

At the same time, Panthers general manager Bill Zito also announced an extension for defenceman Gustav Forsling.

Gadjovich, 25, is in his first season with Florida. Across 33 games this season, he has four points (two goals and two assists). He has also made three appearances for their AHL affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers, where he has recorded one goal.

Drafted by Vancouver in 2017, Gadjovich made his NHL debut with the Canucks. The Whitby, Ont., native was later claimed off waivers by the San Jose Sharks in 2021, where he spent two seasons.

Over 112 career NHL games, Gadjovich has a total of 14 points (six goals and eight assists).
