SAINT JOHN, N.B. – Mathieu Desgagnes had two goals and two assists and Bennett MacArthur also struck twice as the Acadie-Bathurst Titan downed the Saint John Sea Dogs 7-4 on Thursday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League play.
Riley Kidney scored once and set up two more while Logan Chisholm and Cole Huckins rounded out the Titan (17-9-2) offence. Adam McCormick tacked on three helpers.
The Sea Dogs (14-11-4) got goals from Brady Burns, Zachary Alchorn, Cam MacDonald and Josh Lawrence.
Chad Arsenault made 22 saves for Acadie-Bathurst, while Noah Patenaude stopped 25-of-31 shots for Saint John.
The Sea Dogs were up 4-3 until MacArthur tied the game at 19:58 of the second. MacArthur’s second goal put his team ahead, and Acadie-Bathurst followed with two more third-period goals to cruise to the win.
