Red Wings sign forward Dominik Shine to two-year contract

The Detroit Red Wings signed forward Dominik Shine to a two-year contract on Monday that will run through the remainder of this season and 2025-26.

Shine has spent the past nine seasons with Detroit’s AHL affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins, and has 11 goals and 32 points in 40 games this season.

The 31-year-old from Detroit spent four seasons at Northern Michigan University before joining the Griffins as an undrafted free agent in 2017.

He has recorded 72 goals and 170 points in 462 career games with Grand Rapids.
