The Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired left-handed pitcher Ryan Yarbrough from the Kansas City Royals, completing the trade in the final moments before Tuesday’s deadline.

In exchange, the Royals receive first baseman Devin Mann and shortstop Derlin Figueroa.

Yarbrough, 31, signed a one-year, $3-million deal with the Royals this past off-season after spending five seasons with the Tampa Bay Rays.

Over 51 innings pitched in 2023 as both a starter and reliever, Yarbrough has posted a 4.24 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 29 strikeouts.

He missed 55 games after being struck by a 106.2 m.p.h. line drive on May 8 against the Oakland Athletics. Since coming off the IL in July, Yarbrough has made four starts, posting a 2.19 ERA with six runs allowed, 15 strikeouts and two walks.

Earlier Tuesday, it was reported that the Dodgers had an agreement in place to acquire Detroit Tigers ace Eduardo Rodriguez, but Rodriguez blocked the deal with his no-trade clause.
