Anthony Mantha’s stay with the Calgary Flames turned out to be a short one.

The forward signed a one-year, $2.5-million contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday, the team announced.

There is an additional $2 million available in performance bonuses, according to Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports.

The 30-year-old forward from Longueuil, Que., signed a one-year deal with the Flames last summer but was limited to 13 games after undergoing season-ending surgery on his ACL in November. He recorded seven points (four goals, three assists) before he was injured.

Mantha was drafted in the first round, 20th overall, by the Detroit Red Wings in 2013.

He has 303 career points (146 goals, 157 assists) in 507 games over 10 seasons with the Red Wings, Washington Capitals, Vegas Golden Knights and Flames.
