Sabres sign Brett Murray to one-year, two-way contract

The Buffalo Sabres brought back forward Brett Murray on a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced Monday.

The deal is worth $775,00.

The 25-year-old played in two NHL games with the Sabres in 2023-24 and 54 games for the Rochester Americans, where he scored 17 goals and dished out 15 assists.

Murray has played in 23 career NHL games with Buffalo over three of the past four seasons. In 2021-22, he scored two goals and six points in a career-high 19 games.

The Sabres selected the Bolton, Ont. native in the fourth round of the 2016 NHL Draft.
