Sabres sign Mason Geertsen to two-year deal

The Buffalo Sabres have added some defence depth.

Mason Geertsen has signed a two-year deal with an average annual value of $775,000 at the NHL level with the Sabres, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman confirmed Tuesday.

The 30-year-old has spent the past two seasons with the Vegas Golden Knights’ AHL affiliate in Henderson, Nev.

The six-foot-four Geertsen has played 25 career NHL games, all with the New Jersey Devils in 2021-22.
