The San Jose Sharks have signed forward Ty Dellandrea to a two-year contract worth $2.6 million, the team announced Thursday.

The 23-year-old, who was originally selected by the Dallas Stars in the 2018 NHL Draft (first round, 13th overall), will make $1.3 million AAV.

As an RFA this summer, the Sharks acquired Dellandrea’s signing rights from Dallas for a 2025 fourth-round pick on June 19.

The Ontario-native appeared in 42 games for the Stars last season, where he tallied nine points (two goals, seven assists). Dellandrea ranked sixth among team forwards in hits (63) and was fifth in shorthanded time on ice (78:19).

In the 2024 postseason, he appeared in six games (scoring one goal) to help the team reach the Western Conference Final against the Edmonton Oilers.

Over the course of Dellandrea’s NHL career, he has appeared in 151 NHL games, recording 42 points (14 goals, 28 assists).
