Jimmy Huntington will look to join the NHL ranks this season as a member of the San Jose Sharks.

San Jose announced Tuesday that it has signed the 26-year-old Huntington to a one-year, two-way contract for the 2025-26 season.

Huntington missed a bulk of last season with an injury, skating in just four games for the AHL’s Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. In that short period of game action, however, the left-shot centre scored a goal and handed out three assists.

The Laval, Que., native has skated in seven AHL seasons, winning a Calder Cup as a member of the Hershey Bears in 2023-24. Huntington scored 16 goals in the regular season before adding five in Hershey’s post-season run.
