The St. Louis Blues are bringing back forward Kasperi Kapanen on a one-year, $1 million contract, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported Monday.

Kapanen, 27, was grabbed by the Blues in February of 2023 after the Penguins put him on the waivers.

He tallied six goals and 16 assists in 73 games for St. Louis last season.

The Kuopio, Finland native set career-highs in the 2018-19 season while playing with the Toronto Maple Leafs, hitting 20 goals and 24 assists in 78 games at 22 years old.
