The struggling Buffalo Sabres placed goalie Eric Comrie on waivers on Sunday.

The Sabres have carried three goaltenders since the start of the season — Comrie, rookie Devon Levi and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen — but have not received consistent play in net.

Comrie is 1-5 with a 4.01 goals-against average and .863 save percentage this season.

The 28-year-old Comrie is in the final year of a two-year, $3.6-million deal with the Sabres.

In 54 career NHL games with the Winnipeg Jets, Detroit Red Wings, New Jersey Devils and Sabres, the Edmonton native is 23-24-2 with a 3.40 GAA and .893 save percentage.

Several teams around the league have goaltending questions, and now Comrie’s name is added to the mix for those looking.
