Toronto Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet (groin) and forward Precious Achiuwa (shoulder) will not play on Saturday against the visiting Detroit Pistons, while centre Khem Birch (knee) will return to the lineup.

Raptors coach Nick Nurse said VanVleet has been dealing with a groin strain for a little while. VanVleet and OG Anunoby lead the Raptors in scoring, averaging 19.7 points per game.

Goran Dragic will start in VanVleet’s place.

Nurse added Achiuwa was hurt in Thursday’s win over Philadelphia.

Birch, a Montreal native, will return after missing the past three games.
