Veteran goalie James Reimer joining Red Wings as backup

The Detroit Red Wings have found a new backup goaltender.

Veteran James Reimer is joining the Red Wings on a one-year $1.5 million contract, Sportsnet can confirm.

Reimer is a veteran of 13 seasons and most recently played with the San Jose Sharks. He had a .890 save percentage in 43 appearances last season.
