Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook is expected to miss at least two games with a shoulder injury, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The team is hopeful Cook could return for Week 15 when the Vikings match up against the Chicago Bears.

The 26-year-old was carted off the field in the third quarter of Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.

With Cook sidelined, the Vikings will turn to Alexander Mattison to lead their backfield. Mattison has rushed for 149 yards and a touchdown, while averaging 7.1 yards per carry in the 2021 season.

Minnesota currently sits in second place in the NFC North with a 5-6 record.
