Canada’s Auger-Aliassime advances to semis at Open Sud de France

Canada’s Félix Auger-Aliassime beat France’s Harold Mayot 7-5, 6-1 in the quarterfinals of the Open Sud de France on Friday.

The third-seeded Auger-Aliassime, from Montreal, recorded a second win in a row against a player from France after beating Arthur Cazaux in his first match at the ATP Tour 250 indoor, hard-court event

Auger-Aliassime will now face No. 2 seed Alexander Bublik of Kazakhstan in the semifinals.

The Canadian has won two of three career matches against Bublik.
