The National Bank Open added three more Canadians to the main draw as Milos Raonic, Gabriel Diallo and Vasek Pospisil were awarded wild-card entries.

They join Felix Auger-Aliassime and Denis Shapovalov on the men’s side in Montreal, while Leylah Fernandez, Bianca Andreescu, Rebecca Marino and Marina Stakusic will play in the women’s draw in Toronto.

“We are excited to announce that Milos, Gabriel, and Vasek are joining us in Montreal for this year’s tournament,” said Valérie Tétreault, the tournament director of the National Bank Open in Montreal. “This tennis-loving city certainly remembers Milos and Vasek battling it out in the semi-finals in 2013 for a spot in the final against none other than Rafael Nadal. Being able to welcome back these two players who have done so much for our sport, as well as the addition of Gabriel, one of Canada’s rising stars, only adds to the excitement that will be felt here at IGA Stadium.”

The tournament’s official draw, for both the men’s event in Montreal and the women’s event in Toronto, will be held Saturday with qualification beginning Sunday.

This year’s National Bank Open will start and end a day later than usual due to the Olympic tournament in Paris.

Qualification is set for Aug. 4 and 5 and the tournament concludes on Aug. 12.
