DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Justin Wilson will return to Dale Coyne Racing for the 2014 IndyCar season.

It wasn’t clear if Wilson would be back after the team let longtime engineer Bill Pappas leave during the off-season to join Graham Rahal’s team. Coyne held an option on Wilson for the upcoming season, and the driver confirmed Wednesday that he will be back.

Wilson says he will be paired with engineer Michael Cannon and is awaiting approval from Coyne to book travel plans to test for the team in early February.

Wilson broke his pelvis in an accident in the October season finale at Fontana. He has recovered and will race this weekend for Michael Shank Racing in the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona sports car event.
