Rogers employees in Whitby sure know how to get their city turned up for the Toronto Blue Jays.

Friday was an excellent morning for our final Rogers retail store stop of the 22 Days of Blue Jays tour. Devon White was there doing his thing again. Monique was at the store’s opening and stayed over two hours just to see him.

We passed a lot of the time talking Blue Jays, and Monique spoke on how the team helps her bond with her daughter. Together, they’ll talk stats — Monique’s daughter is a 96 per cent high school math student, so sabermetrics don’t phase her in the slightest.
After leaving the store, Devon and I took a quick detour to superfan Ryan’s house. This guy’s man cave and sports memorabilia collection is legit.

Ryan told us how the Blue Jays are 34-10 this season when he goes to games. That is a phenomenal personal attendance record. Thankfully, yes — Ryan has purchased playoff tickets.
We are back in Toronto. Our winners are all here and during Sunday’s game we will be celebrating together in the President’s Suite. It’s going to be great to have all these fantastic Blue Jays fans together from across the nation. But it’s also kinda sad that 22 Days is coming to an end.
A lot to look forward to, though. The Blue Jays have clinched a playoff berth — it’s unreal to see that “x” beside their name in the standings. Triumph, baby.
