New York Yankees rookie Aaron Judge has made MLB history, of the dubious kind.

Judge struck out on Saturday against the Boston Red Sox, setting a major-league record for consecutive games with a strikeout in a single season at 36.

It has still been an impressive year for the 25-year-old, who entered Saturday’s play with 37 home runs, second only to Miami’s Giancarlo Stanton.

But the 6-foot-7 right-fielder has slumped hard since the all-star break, hitting .187/.342/.379 in 33 games before Saturday.
