Adrian Beltre leaves ALDS Game 1 with back injury

Adrian Beltre left Game 1 of the ALDS against the Blue Jays in considerable discomfort after injuring is back on a slide and appearing to further aggravate it on a swing during is next at bat.

Shi Davidi later confirmed that he was leaving the game in the middle of the third inning.

Before his departure Beltre went 1-for-1 in two plate appearances walking in the first inning and driving in the Rangers’ second run in the third.

On the season the 36-year-old hit .287/.334/.453 with 18 home runs and 83 RBI.
