The Oakland Athletics have claimed right-handed pitcher Carlos Ramirez from the Toronto Blue Jays.
The 27-year-old gave up one earned run in 2.1 innings for the Blue Jays this season after being called up from triple-A.
The Athletics announced the move as they were in the midst of sweeping the Blue Jays in a four-game series, adding insult to injury.
Ramirez has spent his entire professional career with the Blue Jays organization, having signed with the team in 2009.
