Bautista wins second straight Silver Slugger

For the second year in a row, Toronto Blue Jays Jose Bautista has won a Silver Slugger Award.

Major League Baseball’s leading home run hitter in each of the past two years got the honour for the first time in his career last year and followed it up with another season worthy of the award in 2011.

Bautista hit .302 this season with 103 RBIs and a .608 slugging percentage to go with his league-topping 43 home runs.

The Silver Slugger Award is handed out annually to the best offensive players at each position in the American League and National League, as determined by the coaches and managers.

3B – Aramis Ramirez, Chicago Cubs

SS – Troy Tulowitzki, Colorado Rockies

OF – Ryan Braun, Milwaukee Brewers
