Blue Jays’ Anthony Alford day to day with tweaked hamstring

Blue Jays voice Buck Martinez joins Jeff Blair to discuss his feeling that the organization’s great bullpen depth is going to be a really good asset for the big club and the triple-A team.

Toronto Blue Jays prospect Anthony Alford won’t play in Tuesday’s spring training game due to a tweaked hamstring. He is considered day to day.

Alford, 23, has received rave reviews this spring from team officials and scouts. The outfielder owns a .323/.313/.645 slash line across 13 Grapefruit League games.

Likely slated to open the season in triple-A, the right-handed hitter is the Blue Jays’ No. 3 prospect, according to MLB Pipeline.
