The Toronto Blue Jays have selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Taylor Cole and have placed Aaron Sanchez on the 60-day disabled list.

The Blue Jays are in New York to face the Yankees in their final series of the season.

Bringing in Cole gives the Blue Jays another arm in their bullpen with Sanchez already having been shut down.

Cole gave up four runs in one inning of work with Toronto this season, an Aug. 9 game against the Yankees.

The 28-year-old was later released by the Blue Jays, who re-signed him again to a minor-league contract on Aug. 18.
