Blue Jays claim left-hander Zac Rosscup off waivers

The Toronto Blue Jays have claimed left-handed relief pitcher Zac Rosscup off waivers from the Seattle Mariners.

In a corresponding move, right-hander Jimmy Cordero has been designated for assignment.

Rosscup, 30, has made 19 relief appearances for the Mariners in 2019, throwing 14 innings with a 3.21 ERA, 20 strikeouts and 14 walks. Over six years in MLB, the six-foot-two, 220-pound Rosscup has posted a 5-2 record with a 4.86 ERA and 102 strikeouts in 79.2 innings.
