Toronto Blue Jays minor-league outfielder Dalton Pompey will be out at least three weeks after tearing a ligament in his left thumb.

The incident occurred when, playing for the triple-A Buffalo Bisons, Pompey slid into third base on May 29 against the Columbus Clippers.

Along with Pompey, infielders Richard Urena and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. are both battling injuries of their own. Urena received three stitches on his left middle finger to close a cut and will be out 7-10 days, and Gurriel Jr. is considered day-to-day with hamstring tightness.
