Blue Jays’ Darrell Ceciliani hurt after hitting home run

Watch as Darrell Ceciliani of the Toronto Blue Jays seems to injure his upper body hitting a home run against the Atlanta Braves.

Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Darrell Ceciliani left Thursday’s game against the Atlanta Braves with an injury after hitting a home run.

Ceciliani was batting cleanup for the Blue Jays, and he hit a two-run home run off of Braves starter Julio Teheran, but in the process appeared to hurt his left arm.

The homer was Ceciliani’s second hit in two at-bats, having already hit an RBI double in the first inning.

The game was soon delayed by rain with Toronto leading 6-0 but resumed about 45 minutes later.
