Blue Jays designate Bolsinger for assignment, recall Campos

Toronto Blue Jays starter Mike Bolsinger talks about giving his team a chance to win, and how if he does, the bats on the team will get them the win.

The Toronto Blue Jays have designated right-hander Mike Bolsinger for assignment and recalled reliever Leonel Campos from triple-A Buffalo.

Bolsinger made five less-than-stellar starts for the Blue Jays in May putting up an 0-2 record, 5.61 ERA and allowing 27 hits in 25.2 innings.

Campos has made four appearances with the Blue Jays in 2017. He has pitched five total innings, striking out five but allowing five hits, two runs, and ERA of 3.60 and walking two. His most recent appearance—on May 15 against the Atlanta Braves—did not go well as he allowed three hits, including a home run, in 2.1 innings of work.
